Speaking Engagements
If you are interested in having me support your educators (keynote, invited talk, workshop, consultation...), please email me at IASleighann[at]gmail[dot]com. You can also request a 10-min free consultation to determine if I am the right person for your needs.

I offer a variety of workshops designed to help educators stay up-to-date with the latest teaching strategies and techniques. Workshops are designed for your unique context, your goals for your educators and the desired topic(s).

15 Minute Workshops
These length workshops are great for faculty meetings. Their purpose is to provide a shared language around a specific topic and to plant the seed for further exploration and discussion.

45 - 90 Minute Workshops
These workshops are long enough but not too long where educators need a break. I am sure to engage the participants whether virtually or in-person to help ensure everyone meets the goals of the workshop.

Half-Day to Multi-Day Programming
If you can't choose only one or two workshops, I can do more! 3 workshops are great for a half-day event or 6-8 for a multi-day event. I would design the workshops to connect across topics or it could be a themed program on GenAI (faculty use, course policies and integration into the classroom) or a design institution focused on the flipped classroom approach.

Each workshop can be designed for a face-to-face, virtual or hybrid environment. Depending on the audience size, location/environment and goals, all workshops are built with deliberate engagement for each participant. Shorter workshops typically have more simple engagement while longer workshops provide the opportunity for more in-depth activities and engagement. All of my offerings prompt educators to reflect on their unique course contexts and application of the event's topic in their course(s) and leave participants with at least one strategy they can implement tomorrow.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI)
AI is not perfect. I provide a balanced perspective that is both critical of its biases, issues with privacy & sustainability, but also how it can support faculty and student learning.

Engaging All Learners
Before & During Class
Activities can engage all learners when designed effectively. Tech-enhanced or not, game elements or collaborative, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is at the center of it all.
Highlighted Topics
Below, you'll find selected topics I have facilitated workshops on in the past 10 years. Note: not all topics are listed and many of my offerings attend to multiple topics, so please email your ideas/needs and we can determine what is best for you.
